Arrest Made in Sexual Assault Investigation

A 58-year-old Mississauga man has been arrested in relation to a string of sexual assaults that occurred under the ruse of real estate transactions.

In November 2019, Hamilton Police received information about two sexual assault incidents that occurred in residences in the area of Pearl Street and Peter Street. The investigation into these incidents remained ongoing and on June 29, 2020, police were made aware of a similar incident that occurred earlier in the day in the same area.

Through continued investigation, police identified a Mississauga man in relation to the three incidents. Later that day, he was arrested at his residence without incident and was turned over to Hamilton Police.

On Tuesday, June 30, 2020, the male appeared in court to answer to his charges.

In all three incidents, the victims were not physically injured.

  • Forcible confinement

As a result of this investigation, police believe there is a potential there may be other victims who have yet to come forward.
