Arrest Made in Threat Against Hamilton Airport

Hamilton Police have arrested a 22-year-old Hamilton man after online threats were made towards Hamilton’s John C. Munro International Airport and the Hamilton Health Sciences on several different dates.

On Friday, November 9, 2018, Division 30 Criminal Investigation Branch continued the investigation and executed a search warrant at the residence of Anthony Antoski-Southon where he was located and arrested without incident.

There were no flight disruptions as a result of the threat and police believe the airport and the hospitals are safe. The accused has been held for a bail hearing. He was charged with the following offences:

Charges:

  • Utter threat to cause death - three counts
  • Mischief - interfere with lawful use of use of property - three counts
  • Unauthorized use of a computer - two counts
  • Fail to comply with recognizance - four counts
