Arrested: Wanted Person Joshua Benoit

The outstanding male involved in a West Mountain home invasion has been arrested in Burlington.

On January 21, 2020, shortly after 9:00 a.m., three individuals were involved in a home invasion on Garth and West 5th in Hamilton. The homeowner received minor injuries when he was struck over the head with a weapon and pepper-sprayed.

Two out of the three parties were arrested and Hamilton Police issued an arrest warrant for the outstanding male.

On February 19, 2020, shortly after 10:00 a.m., with the help of Halton Regional Police, Joshua Benoit was located inside a Burlington Hotel room. He was arrested without incident and brought back to Hamilton Police custody where he awaits bail court.

  • Possession of Firearm Contrary to Order
