BEAR Unit Investigates Two Restaurant Robberies

The Hamilton Police BEAR Unit continues to investigate two late night robberies in the west end of Hamilton. At this time police believe the incidents are related.

On Wednesday, February 6, 2020, shortly after 11:30 p.m., two male suspects in disguise entered the Subway Restaurant located at 1333 Main Street West. One suspect interacted with the patrons while the other suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of Canadian currency. The suspects then fled the store.

On Wednesday, February 6, 2020, shortly after 11:30 p.m., two male suspects in disguise entered the Quik Chik Restaurant located at 1331 Main Street West. While one suspect interacted with the patrons, the second suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of Canadian currency. The suspects then fled the store.

Uniform Officers along with a K9 unit responded to the area and assisted in the investigation.

During both incidents, one suspect was in possession of a handgun and no one was physically injured.

With the information available at this time, police believe the two incidents are related.

The Hamilton Police BEAR Unit has taken over the investigations.
