Body Found Needs to Be Identified

Police asking the public to help identify a deceased male located on the rooftop of Jackson Square at 2 King Street West in Hamilton.

On May 2, 2020, shortly after 8:00 p.m., a person was walking on the top of Jackson Square and noticed two males lying on the ground unresponsive. The citizen was able to wake-up one of the males at which time he left on foot before police arrived. However, the other male was lifeless and pronounced dead by paramedics.

The deceased male had no identification and there have been no inquiries or missing persons with his profile reported. The body was sent to Centre of Forensic Sciences at which time confirmation on the male’s description was provided.

It is believed that his lifestyle was a contributing factor in his death and police are not investigating this as suspicious.

Police are asking for the male that left the scene prior to police arrival to call.

Deceased Description:

  • Male, 21 to 32-years
  •  202lbs
  • 5’8 (approximately)
  • Black curly shoulder length hair
  • Light complexion

Clothing Description:

  • Black patterned golf shirt
  • Blue Fila sport jersey
  • Black winter Canada Goose jacket (size small)
  • Black & grey slippers
  • Watch (black and grey striped band)
  • Necklace with pendent, silver bracelet and costume jewellery earrings
