Detectives Conclude Suspicious Vehicle Investigation

The investigation into allegations of a suspicious vehicle in the Binbrook area has been concluded after detectives were able to identify the vehicle and driver.

On Wednesday, October 28, 2020, detectives from the Mountain Division Criminal Investigation Bureau entered into an investigation based on a report of a suspicious vehicle in the area of Laidman Park.

The information provided at the time described an interaction between a young person and the occupants of a suspicious vehicle. Hamilton Police conducted an extensive canvass of the surrounding area and were able to acquire surveillance video as well as conduct several interviews. This led to the identification of a delivery vehicle as being involved. The driver was cooperative and confirmed the details of their actions which were completely related to their business’ procedures.

After reviewing all the information gathered, detectives are concluding that the incident did not occur as initially reported.

Hamilton Police would like to thank the community for their assistance in this investigation, as it was crucial in identifying the reported vehicle.
