Drug Dealer Arrested on his Bicycle

Hamilton Police Officer arrests male after he disobeys red light while smoking a marijuana cigarette. The car search after arrest revealed he was in possession of illicit drugs and a large amount of Canadian currency. The male was held for a Bail Hearing.

On Monday, March 5, 2018, shortly before 5:00 p.m., police observed a cyclist riding on the sidewalk as he disobeyed a red traffic light at the intersection of Barton Street East and Gage Avenue North. The cyclist was stopped by police, at the time he was smoking a marijuana cigarette. He was arrested and then found to be in possession of illicit drugs.

Police have seized 16.5 grams of crack cocaine along with an undisclosed amount of Canadian currency.

• Possession for the purpose of Trafficking - Cocaine
• Fail to Comply Recognizance

Police Investigate Parked Car and Arrest Occupant for Several Drug Related Offences

Hamilton Police investigate a parked car occupied by a female. In plain view, police viewed evidence to support the possession of methamphetamine. She was arrested and later police located several other illicit drugs within the vehicle. The female was held for a bail hearing.

On Monday, March 5, 2018, shortly before 4:30 p.m., police received information regarding a parked car in the area of 1022 Barton Street East. Upon arrival they located a 2007 Pontiac Torrent and observed a lone female occupant, sitting with her legs up on the dashboard. During a conversation with the occupant, police observed evidence in plain view to support the possession of illicit drugs. The occupant was arrested and several types of illicit drugs were located in the vehicle.

Marie Marcoux, 48 years from Grimsby

Charges:

• 4X Possession for the purpose of Trafficking - Cocaine, Methamphetamine, Hydromorphone and Oxycodone
• Possession of Proceeds of Crime Under $5000.00
