Drugs and Cash Seized During Weapon Investigation

While investigating a weapons call, police identified two males who were in possession of illicit drugs and cash. They were arrested and are scheduled to appear in court today.

On Monday, July 13, 2020, shortly before 8:30 p.m., Hamilton Police responded to reports of weapons call outside a commercial business located in the area of Fennell Avenue East and E26th Street, Hamilton. Upon arrival, officers obtained information that included a male was seated on the passenger side of a red sedan as he held a machete out of the window. The vehicle was located parked on the property and at the time, two males were seated inside. Police observed the driver was in possession of drug paraphernalia and an unsheathed machete was seen in plain view on the passenger side floor.

Through continued investigation, police determined the males were in possession of illicit drugs and cash. They were arrested without incident and taken into police custody. Their matter is scheduled to be brought before the courts later today.
