Hamilton Police are back for the first long-weekend driving blitz of 2018. This weekend Hamilton officers will be focusing their attention towards Distracted Driving and Speeding.

The Hamilton Police “Long-Week-End” enforcement program incorporates high visibility of traffic enforcement in various areas of the city where strategic objectives towards public awareness and education are combined with the act of a professional traffic stop.

Resources will be directed towards identified areas of concern in each division for the purpose of reducing or eliminating collisions and encouraging compliance with the basic rules of the road.

This Long-Week-End enforcement program will be viewed as part of the overall approach to traffic safety which supports the Hamilton Strategic Traffic Programs.

Violators who engage in high risk driving behaviours threaten the safety of all motorists. Hamilton Police are asking you to drive safely.
