Firearm and $15K in Illicit Drugs Seized in Search Warrant Yesterday

Hamilton Police have arrested a 30-year-old Hamilton man following a residential search warrant yesterday.

In the afternoon hours of Wednesday, August 24, 2022, Hamilton Police executed a residential search warrant in the area of Mud Street and Winterberry Drive on the city’s east mountain.

One male has been arrested and remains in custody.

  • Possession for the Purpose-Cocaine
  • Proceeds of Crime Over $5000
  • Careless Use, Carry, Transport, Storage of a Firearm
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
  • Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
  • Prohibited Firearm-Loaded/Unloaded

During the execution of the warrant a quantity of illicit drugs were seized with an approximate value of $15,000 dollars.

A loaded 40 Calibre Handgun, over $72,000 in Canadian Currency, along with scales were also seized during the execution of the warrant.
