In January 2018, the Gangs and Weapons Unit initiated an investigation into the drug dealing activities of a male in the area of Beach Boulevard.

On Wednesday, January 31, 2018, a Controlled Drug and Substance Act Search Warrant was executed and the male was arrested; police have seized a large quantity of illicit drugs. The investigation continued and led to police to a storage facility.

On Thursday, February 1, 2018, members of the Gangs and Weapons Unit executed a Search Warrant at a storage facility in Burlington and located a firearm and ammunition.

Seized: 

• Large quantity of illicit drugs
• A large sum of Canadian Currency
• Various calibre ammunitions for other firearms
• A 45 Calibre handgun and ammunition

Douglas Noble, 59 years from Hamilton

• Possession of Controlled Drugs and Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
• Possession of Controlled Drugs and Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Heroin
• Possession of Controlled Drugs and Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl
• Possession of Controlled Drugs and Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methaphetamine
• Possession of Controlled Drugs and Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking– Marijuana
• Possession of Proceeds of Crime over $5000
• Breach of Probation
• Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
• Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
• Possession of a Prohibited Firearm

Noble was brought before the courts on Friday, February 2, 2018 for a Bail Hearing.
