Glanbrook Man Caught Driving 207 km/hr on the Linc
On Wednesday, June 5, 2019, police set-up for proactive speed enforcement on the Lincoln Alexander Parkway at Upper Ottawa Street. At approximately 5:00 p.m., police observed a black Cadillac passing other vehicular traffic at a high speed, as it continued eastbound. The investigation revealed the vehicle was operating at 207 km/hr in a posted 90 km/hr zone.
A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, a 33-year-old man from Glanbrook provided
the appropriate documents as requested by police. He was subsequently ordered to appear in court on Thursday, July 11, 2019, to answer to the charges of speeding and stunt driving.
In accordance with the Ontario Highway Traffic Act, the driver’s licence has been suspended for seven days and the vehicle has been impounded for the same period of time.
