Glays Little Murder - Arrest Made

UPDATE #2: Arrest Made in the Gladys Little Homicide

About 9.20am on Sunday 24th May 2020 Hamilton Police received information from staff at a local shelter that Larissa Shingebis was staying there.

Uniform members immediately responded to the shelter where they located Shingebis and arrested her without incident for the First Degree murder of Gladys Little.

Shingebis was transported to Central Police Station where she is to be interviewed. She will be formally charged with the murder on Monday morning.

Investigators wish to acknowledge the assistance of the local media in disseminating Larissa Shingebis’ image and letting the community know of her wanted status in this random killing. Police also wish to thank the staff at the shelter for notifying of Shingebis’ whereabouts allowing her to be apprehended in short notice.

Gladys Little’s family have been notified of the arrest which has provided them with some conciliation that their mother’s killer is no longer a threat to anyone else.
