Hamilton Man Charged with Child Exploitation Offences
The Hamilton Police Service Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) unit conducted an investigation into the upload of an image of child pornography to an online chat application in early 2017. The upload was determined to have been completed from a residence in the City of Hamilton. The Hamilton Police Service ICE unit, Technological Crime unit and Uniform Patrol executed a search warrant at the residence and numerous electronic devices were seized. After an extensive forensic examination of the seized devices, a number of digital images and videos of child pornography were located and associated to an individual from the residence.
