Hamilton Man Charged with Possessing Child Pornography

Hamilton Police have arrested and charged a Hamilton resident with Possession of Child Pornography.

The Hamilton Police Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit conducted an investigation into individual distributing child pornography to other users of an online text-based chat application. The male was identified as being from the City of Hamilton and on October 17, 2019, members of the ICE Unit, Technological Crime Unit, uniform patrol and the Division 30 High Enforcement Action Team executed a search warrant at a Hamilton residence.

A 26-year-old man was arrested, charged and brought before the courts. A forensic examination of seized electronic devices is ongoing and it is possible that further charges may be filed.

Charges: Possession of Child Pornography x 2
