Hamilton Police responded to an overnight shooting in front of a Hamilton restaurant establishment.

On Friday, December 17, 2021, shortly after midnight, the Hamilton Police Service responded to a shooting that occurred outside of a restaurant establishment on John Street South.

A victim, male in his 20’s and several suspects were involved in an altercation that resulted in the victim being shot twice. The suspects fled the scene on foot. The victim was taken to hospital for medical treatment for non-life threatening injuries.

The scene has since been processed and police are canvassing the area for any surveillance and witnesses.
