Hamilton Police Announce Results from March Break Enforcement Program

Hamilton Police are committed to making our roads safer for everyone. As such, resources will be directed towards identified areas of concern in each division for the purpose of reducing or eliminating collisions and encouraging compliance with the basic rules of the road.

From March 10 to March 18, Hamilton Police Service Officers were deployed with a focus on Aggressive Driving, combined with Speeding.

During the period stated above, the following tickets were issued:

  • Aggressive Driving - 122 Tickets
  • Speeding – 936 Tickets
  • Distracted Driving – 10 Tickets

In comparison, during the same period last year, Hamilton Police issued:

  • Aggressive Driving - 144 Tickets
  • Speeding – 500 Tickets
  • Distracted Driving – 20 Tickets

Hamilton Police believes speeding is the cornerstone of aggressive driving. It is a choice made by drivers every day. In order to reduce speeding and other driving infractions in our community, we all need to work together.
