Hamilton Police Announce Sixth 2021 Traffic Fatality

Hamilton Police are announcing the sixth traffic fatality of 2021 after a 15-year-old girl succumbed to her injuries sustained in April 2021.

On April 25, 2021, shortly before 9 p.m., the 15-year-old female was on a skateboard on Old Mohawk Road when she was struck by a 2008 Honda motor vehicle operated by a 21-year-old Hamilton man. The driver remained at the scene and tended to the female until Hamilton Paramedic Service arrived. The female was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Due to the severity of the injuries, the HPS Collision Reconstruction Unit was called in and took carriage of the investigation.

The investigation has been completed into this tragic event and no charges are being laid.
