Hamilton Police Continue to Investigate Fail to Remain Collision

Hamilton Police are urging the driver who struck a Hamilton woman on Friday evening to turn himself in. The young woman remains in critical condition.

On Friday, September 9, 2022, at about 10:20pm a 26-year-old Hamilton woman was crossing Mohawk Rd. E. near East 45th St. when she was struck by an eastbound motor vehicle. The female was transported to hospital with life threatening injuries.

The motor vehicle did not remain at the scene and was last seen travelling eastbound on Mohawk Rd. passing Upper Ottawa St. Police are looking for a gray or silver four-door motor vehicle, possibly an older model Honda sedan that may have damage to its passenger mirror.

Witnesses to the collision describe the driver as a white male with facial hair and wearing a baseball cap.
