Hamilton Police Execute Search Warrant at a Stoney Creek Residence

Three local schools were placed in Hold and Secure as Hamilton Police executed a warrant at a Stoney Creek residence. A Hamilton man has been arrested on several criminal charges.

On Thursday, February 22, 2018, shortly before 10:00 a.m., Hamilton Police attended a residence in the area of Upper Centennial Parkway and Highgate Drive, Hamilton. Police secured the residence while negotiating the arrest of a male with outstanding warrants.

A 32-year-old Hamilton male has been arrested and is scheduled to appear before the courts on Friday, February 23, 2018 to answer to the charges of Dangerous Driving and Flight from Police.

This is an ongoing investigation and police anticipate additional charges will be filed in the coming days.

As a precaution, Saltfleet District School, Gatestone Elementary School and St. Mark Catholic School were placed in Hold and Secure during the investigation. This was a contained incident and at no time was a threat posed to public safety.
