Hamilton Police Investigate Home Invasion

In the early hours of October 24, 2018, Hamilton Police attended a residence on Cheever Street in response to a home invasion. The residents were home during the incident and unharmed. This investigation is in its early stages.

On Wednesday, October 24, 2018, shortly after 3:00 a.m., Hamilton Police responded to a home on Cheever Street, in the central area of Hamilton, for a home invasion. Three suspects entered the home and a resident discharged an aerosol of Bear Spray in an effort to chase them off. The suspects fled the home and the two residents were not injured in the incident.

Hamilton Police investigated a silver Chrysler vehicle located in the area of the home invasion and have determined it was not related to the incident.

The Hamilton Fire Department was later called to the residence to disperse the aerosol Bear Spray.

Hamilton Police are holding the scene for the Forensic Unit.

At this time police believe the incident was targeted and information will follow when available.
