Hamilton Police are investigating a suspected stabbing in downtown Hamilton earlier this afternoon.

Shortly before 12:30 p.m., police responded to reports of a shooting in the area of King Street West and Bay Street North. Police located one victim with injuries that are not considered to be life-threatening. At this time, there is no evidence to suggest a shooting took place. 

A 25-year-old male is under arrest. The circumstances surrounding the incident are still under investigation.
