Hamilton Police Investigate Suspicious Package

Hamilton Police attended DHL Express after a suspicious package was located amongst their shipments. The building was evacuated as the package was investigated. It was later determined to be safe.

On Thursday, November 29, 2018, shortly after 10:30 p.m., Hamilton Police responded for a suspicious package call at DHL Express located at 9270 Airport Rd West.

While processing packages DHL staff observed the item and due to its appearance felt it was suspicious in nature. The building was evacuated as a safety measure and police were notified.

Hamilton Police Emergency Response and K9 Units attended and through investigation determined the package to be safe. The item was identified as an ‘Air Sampler’.

The courier company returned to full operation.

John C Munro Airport located nearby was not affected at any time by the incident.
