Hamilton Police Investigate the City’s Fifth Traffic Fatality of the Year

A 72-year-old man involved in a single motor vehicle collision on Sunday evening in the City’s West End has died. The Collision Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate the City’s Fifth traffic fatality.

The Hamilton Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal collision involving a single-motor vehicle that occurred shortly before 10:30 p.m. yesterday.

On Sunday, June 13, 2021, at approximately 10:30 p.m., a motor vehicle collision occurred in the west end of Hamilton. A 72-year-old man from Hamilton was driving his black 2019 BMW sedan on Main Street West when it struck a pole at Whitney Avenue.

The intersection was closed for several hours as the Collision Reconstruction Unit processed the scene.

At this time police have not ruled out any contributing factors to the collision.
