Hamilton Police are investigating a homicide after a 29-year-old male was found with a fatal gunshot wound near York Blvd and Queen Street. 

On December 29, 2023, police were called to the area at 10:48 p.m. for reports of shots fired. Upon arriving, police found a male suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to hospital and pronounced deceased. The male has since been identified as Daniel Musafiri from Hamilton.

Suspects were seen fleeing the area. At this time, there are no suspect or vehicle descriptions.

There will be a heavy police presence in the area. Investigators are asking anyone who may have been in the area at the time or have video evidence to reach out to Detective Dave Tsuchida at 905-546-4123.
