On February 5, 2022, just shortly after 3:00 pm, the Hamilton Police responded to a single motor vehicle collision in the area of Upper James Street and Fennell Avenue East. It was reported that a man in his 70s was crossing the street and was struck.

As a result, Upper James Street, between Fennell Avenue East and McElroy Road, remain closed for the investigation.
