Hamilton Police are conducting an investigation following the discovery of a spent bullet casing in the area of Gage Avenue South and Main Street East.

The investigation began on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, when police received reports of a shooting believed to have occurred between Friday, April 19 and Tuesday, April 23, 2024. There have been no injuries reported in connection with this incident at this time.

Further investigation revealed evidence of a firearm discharge. The exact timeline and circumstances surrounding this incident are still under investigation.

Investigators are reaching out to residents in the area and ask that if you have security cameras that cover any part of the area, please review footage from the specified dates for any unusual or suspicious activity. Additionally, those who were driving nearby with dash cameras are urged to check their footage as well.
