Hamilton Police Make an Arrest in Waterdown Pride Flag Theft

Hamilton Police Hate-Crime Unit make an arrest in theft of 2S&LGBTQIA+ pride flag from Waterdown residence.

On Thursday, August 16, 2021, shortly after 10:30p.m., an unknown youth male walked up the driveway of a Waterdown residence and removed a 2S&LGBTQIA+ pride flag, which was hanging over the garage. The youth male then threw the flag on the ground and proceeded to stomp on it, eventually leaving the area with the flag.

The incident is being investigated as a hate crime.
