Hamilton Police Make Arrest After Robbery in Woodlands Park Yesterday

Hamilton Police have arrested a 28-year-old Toronto man in connection to a robbery that took place within a tent at Woodlands Park yesterday. Officers' were patrolling in the vicinity of the park when a victim flagging them down asking for their assistance.

On Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at 7:00 a.m. officers observed a victim run towards them during general patrol. The victim reported being robbed in Woodlands Park, located at 501 Barton Street East in Hamilton. The victim, suffered injuries during the incident and came forward to report the crime.

Upon investigation, it has been determined that the incident occurred within a tent situated within the park, escalating into a confrontation where the victim endured threats and was subsequently robbed by the suspect.

The suspect, a 28-year-old man, was promptly identified and arrested within the park. Additionally, a black handgun-style pellet gun was located during the arrest.

Joshua Pilgram is charged with Robbery, Utter Threats, and Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose.
