Hamilton Police Make Arrest in Historical Sexual Assaults

Hamilton Police have arrested a Hamilton man as a result of an investigation into two separate historical sexual assaults.

On Wednesday, June 30, 2021 the Hamilton Police Sexual Assault Unit arrested 57 year-old, John Douglas Hashimoto of Hamilton.

Hashimoto is a retired schoolteacher with the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board, during which time he worked at four schools between 1987 to 2019.

Hashimoto was also a former youth baseball coach in the City of Hamilton.

Investigators believe that there may be additional victims.
