Hamilton Police Make Arrests in Commercial Robberies

Hamilton Police have arrested two suspects involved in two separate robberies that occurred last month in Hamilton.

On Saturday, February 11, shortly after 9:00 p.m. staff members were preparing for the establishment to close in the area of South Service Road and Fifty Road when a male and female suspect entered the business and demanded money. The male suspect brandished a machete and the suspects fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

There were no physical injuries sustained during this robbery.

On Saturday, February 18th, 2023, at approximately 10:30 p.m., the same two suspects entered a commercial business in the area of Hess Street and King Street West and demanded cigarettes along with money. During the robbery, two staff members were assaulted with a machete and conducted electrical weapon (CEW). The suspects fled the area in a dark coloured sedan.

Both victims sustained serious life altering injuries.

On Saturday, February 25, 2023, Hamilton Police BEAR Unit with the assistance of Niagara Regional Police Service Emergency Task Unit executed a search warrant and arrested two suspects involved in the robberies.

Tanika Galloway

Brandon Andres Omardeen had his bail opposed and was wanted on a Canada-wide parole warrant.

Monifa Chimmere Clarke has been released on an Undertaking.

A third suspect has been identified as, 25-year-old of No Fixed Address, Tanika Karen Galloway and is believed to be in Toronto or Peel Region. An arrest warrant has been issued for their arrest.
