Hamilton Police Make 32nd Impaired by Drug Arrest

Hamilton Police arrested a male last night for driving while impaired by drugs. This is the 32nd arrest in 2018 for this offence. Last year, Hamilton Police saw only 29 arrests for the entire year of 2017 and 29 arrests in 2016.

On Thursday, July 19, 2018, shortly before 8:00 p.m., police identified a Mitsubishi SUV, erratically driving westbound on the Lincoln Alexander Parkway. Police were able to locate the vehicle stopped in the Esso parking lot at Upper Paradise and Stone Church Road West in Hamilton. Police approached the driver and confirmed he was wanted on several warrants. When the male stepped out of his car, the police observed obvious signs of being impaired by drugs. Police then searched the vehicle and located Heroin and Cocaine inside. The male was transported back to Central Station and held in custody with his bail opposed.
