On Friday September 9, 2022, at about 10:20pm a 27-year-old Hamilton woman was crossing Mohawk Rd. E. near East 45^th St. when she was struck by an eastbound motor vehicle. The female was transported to hospital with life threatening injuries.

The motor vehicle did not remain at the scene and was last seen eastbound on Mohawk Rd. passing Upper Ottawa St. Police are looking for a gray or silver four door motor vehicle, possibly an older model Honda Civic that may have damage to its passenger mirror.
