Hamilton Police Respond to the Victoria Street Demonstration

Hamilton Police had information about a demonstration set for Sunday March 25, 2018.

Police attended the area of the demonstration shortly before 11:00 a.m. in the areas of Victoria Park and Locke Street, Hamilton.

Hamilton Police responded to the area with Patrol, Action, Mounted and the Public Order Unit. Waterloo Regional Police and Toronto Police Service responded to assist Hamilton Police to ensure public safety.

Police interacted with approximately 150 demonstrators in the area of Victoria Park and Locke Street where a demonstration occurred. There were no arrests or injuries.

Hamilton Police are very proud of our community and thank everyone for their patience and understanding during the demonstration.
