Hamilton Police Service Executes CDSA Search Warrant at Mountain Residence

Members of the Division Three HEAT Unit – High Enforcement Action Team - cultivated information which led to the execution of a search warrant at a mountain residence. A man and woman, both from Hamilton have been arrested and face numerous drug related charges.

As a result of information received regarding suspected illegal drug trafficking, police commenced a lengthy investigation. On Thursday, June 7, 2018, shortly after 4:30 p.m., members of the Hamilton Police Service Division Three HEAT Unit and the Vice and Drug Unit, executed a CDSA search warrant on a residence located in the area of Upper Wentworth Street and Fennell Avenue East, Hamilton.

A 25-year-old Hamilton man and a 24-year-year-old Hamilton woman were arrested as police seized a plethora of illicit drugs, ammunition and Canadian Currency exceeding $10,000.00. Both parties will appear in court on Friday, June 8, 2018, to answer to the following joint charges:

  • CDSA 5(2) – Possession for the Purpose – Cocaine x2
  • CDSA 5(2) – Possession for the Purpose – Crystal Methamphetamine x2
  • CDSA 5(2) – Possession for the Purpose – Fentanyl x2
  • CDSA 5(2) – Possession for the Purpose – Oxycodone x8
  • CDSA 5(2) – Possession for the Purpose – Hydromorphone x2
  • CDSA 5(2) – Possession for the Purpose – Codeine x2
  • CDSA 5(2) – Possession for the Purpose – Oxandrolone (steroids) x2
  • CDSA 5(2) – Possession for the Purpose – THC x2
  • CDSA 5(2) - Possession for the Purpose – Cannabis Resin (hash) x2
  • CDSA 5(2) - Possession for the Purpose - Marihuana x2
  • Proceeds of Crime over $5000 x2
  • Proceeds of Crime under $5000 x2

The following items were seized:

  • Approx. ¾ of a kilogram of crystal methamphetamine
  • Approx. 8.5 ounces of cocaine
  • Approx. 4 kilograms of processed marihuana
  • Approx. 19,400 pills in 194 bottles of Oxandrolone (steroids)
  • A sheet of prepared “Shatter” (Cannabis Resin)
  • Hundreds of pills packaged for sale including several mg levels of oxycodone, hydromorphone, codeine, Adderall, and Ritalin
  • Several pre-packed baggies / capsules of suspected fentanyl
  • Dozens of pre-packaged vials of cannabis resin
  • Bags of edible candies containing THC
  • multiple boxes of 9mm, 40cal, 38cal, 22cal, and shotgun ammunition
  • Over $10,000 of bundled Canadian currency and other currency
  • Other evidence including mobile phones, documentation, scales, cutting agent, equipment and packaging all consistent with illegal drug trafficking / production
  • Total value of drugs seized approx.. $270,000
  • Total value of money seized approx.. $10,500
