Hamilton’s 5th Fatal Motor Vehicle Collision

Police investigate a fatal motor vehicle collision in Waterdown.

On Monday May 28, 2018, just after 11 p.m., police, fire and paramedics responded to reports of a collision between a motorcycle and an automobile in the area of Dundas Street East, just west of Avonsyde Boulevard.

Emergency crews responded and began rendering medical assistance to the operator of the motorcycle, a 34 year old Burlington man, who had sustained critical injuries.

The 34 year old man was transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead. The 27 year old female operator of the automobile was transported to hospital with minor injury.

The Hamilton Police Service Collision Reconstruction Unit responded to the scene of the collision and has carriage of the investigation which is still ongoing at this time. Investigators through their initial investigation indicated that speed was a factor. No charges have been laid at this time.
