Hamilton Police are investigating the death of a man found in Hamilton’s Durand neighbourhood.

On Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at approximately 3:00 a.m. Hamilton Police responded to reports of a man bleeding and unconscious in the area of MacNab Street near Jackson Street. Emergency personnel arrived on scene and immediately administered first aid to the victim. The victim was transported to hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

Hamilton Police Homicide Unit are now investigating the death of a 33-year-old man of Hamilton. The scene continues to be held at this time as it is being processed.

The victim sustained an injury that was life-threatening, though the cause of death has still not been determined.

At this time, the police are actively seeking any potential witnesses to this incident and urge anyone with information to come forward.

Investigators are requesting that any residences or businesses in the area with surveillance cameras to review their camera footage between 2:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m.
