Human Remains Found Near Cherry Beach Road

Hamilton Police have identified human remains after an individual brought a femur bone into its East End station. The bone was sent out for testing and confirmed to be human.

On Monday, May 21, 2019, a male was walking along the Lake Ontario shoreline near Cherry Beach Rd when he found the femur bone and brought it to the East End Station.

Hamilton Police are currently conducting a search along the shoreline for additional remains. The case has been turned over to the Coroner’s Office.

Hamilton Police would like to remind the public if they come across a bone deemed to be suspicious, please do not remove it from the area. Instead, call Police at 905-546-4925.
