Indecent Act at Local Library

Hamilton Police are looking to identify a male involved in an indecent act at a local library.

On November 26, 2019, shortly after 10:15 a.m., an unknown male attended the Sherwood Public Library on Upper Ottawa Street in Hamilton and committed an indecent act. The male was inside the library standing by a window when his actions were observed by a citizen. The witness reported the incident to the library staff, but the male had already left the area.

Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying this suspect or witnesses to the offence.

Police have selected a photo from the library surveillance video in hopes of identifying the suspect.

Suspect Description:

  • Male (approx. 30-years)
  • Brown skin, bald or shaved head
  • Wearing a black sweater with a red and grey pattern on shoulders and front, blue jeans, large headphones on his head
