Hamilton Police will be focusing their attention towards Distracted Driving and Speeding from September 1 to 3, 2018.

The “Labour Day Long Weekend” enforcement program incorporates high visibility traffic enforcement across Hamilton. The goal of the program is to promote public awareness and education through traffic stops.

Resources will be directed towards identified areas of concern in each Division for the purpose of reducing or eliminating collisions and encouraging compliance with the basic rules of the road.

This Long-Weekend enforcement program is part of the overall approach to traffic safety which supports the Hamilton Strategic Traffic Programs.

Violators who engage in high-risk driving behaviours threaten the safety of all motorists. Hamilton Police are asking you to drive safely.
