Stolen Ford Escape Leads to Drug Seizure

Hamilton Police arrested a male after he was found driving a stolen vehicle and in possession of illicit drugs. 

On January 26, 2019, shortly before 10:00 p.m., Hamilton Police located a stolen Ford Escape driving around the Central Mountain area. The vehicle was safely followed to a residence on Main Street West in Hamilton. Police observed the male exit the Main West home and prevented him from returning back to the stolen Ford Escape. Upon arrest, he was in possession of 13g of methamphetamine with a street value of $2600 and cash. The man was also found to be a wanted person in other jurisdictions.

CHARGES:

  • Possession controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking –Methamphetamine
  • Possession of proceeds of crime under $ 5000
  • Possession of stolen property under $ 5000 (vehicle)
  • Fail to comply with probation x 7
