Hamilton Police Service continues to investigate the City's 13th Homicide. The victim of this murder has been identified as 39-year-old Jeffrey Johnson of Hamilton.

Police have confirmed that an autopsy was performed this past Saturday at the Hamilton General Hospital. Mr. Johnson died as a result of a shooting. The number and location of shots remain evidence in this case and will not be released. Police remain satisfied that the shooting of Mr. Johnson was deliberate and investigators are working at identifying a motive for the shooting. Mr. Johnson was not known to the Hamilton Police Service and has no known criminal background. He worked in Hamilton in the stamped concrete business and lived at home with his wife and two young children. Mr. Johnson was shot while leaving his home to go to work.
