Looking to Identify Suspects Involved in Pellet Gun Shooting

Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Bureau are seeking assistance from the public in identifying suspects from a pellet gun shooting overnight.

On August 19, 2019, shortly before midnight, the victim was driving her vehicle on Rymal Road East in the area of Upper Red Hill Valley Parkway, with her five-year-old child. The victim heard the sounds of objects striking the side of her car and at the same time, observed a blue pickup truck driving past and laughter coming from within. The victim quickly realized that her five-year-old child had been struck beneath the eye from a projectile.

Police responded and found the child to have a welt underneath the affected eye, which did not require medical attention. The victim’s vehicle received minor damage as a result of multiple projectiles being fired at it. The suspects and vehicle fled westbound at Rymal Road East. The investigation has revealed that upwards of three people were inside the vehicle at the time of the shooting.
