Shooting incident Main St. West, Hamilton

On August 3 2019, at approximately 2:27 p.m., Hamilton Police responded to the area of Main St. West and Ofield Rd. after citizens called 911 to report the sound of gun shots.

Members of the Hamilton Police Service along with E.M.S. and the HFD arrived on scene and found a 29 year old male suffering from gunshot wounds. The male was treated at the scene before he was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The person responsible for the shooting is described as a male, non-white, dressed in black clothing. The male suspect fled from the scene of the shooting in a black or dark coloured Volkswagen, possibly a 4 door, with tinted windows. The vehicle was last observed headed southbound on Main St. W. towards Ancaster.

There is no danger to the general public as this is believed to be a targeted shooting.
