Male Arrested for Spray Painting Nazi Symbols

Hamilton man is caught spray-painting a dumpster with Nazi symbols. He now faces criminal charges.

On October 19, 2019, shortly before 4:00 p.m., police attended the area of 3 Emerald Street North in Hamilton for mischief in progress call. There were reports of someone spray-painting Nazi symbols on a dumpster.

When police arrived they observed Swastikas, SS Lightning Bolt symbols as well as hate/bias-related speech sprayed with black paint on the exterior of a garbage bin. Police checked the area and located male hiding behind the dumpster with evidence placing him at the scene.

Charged: Shane Gorman (33-years) Hamilton resident

Charge: Mischief under $5000
