Male Charged after Striking Pedestrian Walking on Sidewalk

Hamilton Police charge a 28-year-old Hamilton man with Fail to Remain after hitting a pedestrian walking on the sidewalk.  

On February 24, 2019, shortly before 2 a.m., police, fire and paramedics responded to a pedestrian struck by a Dodge Caravan. A 21-year-old Dunnville man was walking eastbound on Burton Street towards Cheever Street when he was struck by a van, leaving him with serious injuries. The van left the scene with major damage.

Witnesses to the collision provided medical assistance to the pedestrian before he was transported by Paramedics to the hospital for medical treatment.

On March 2, 2019, police identified and arrested the driver of the van.
