Male Charged with Voyeurism at Limeridge Mall

Hamilton Police are trying to identify two witnesses who alerted a female victim to a male recording her with a cell phone, while in a change room at Limeridge Mall.

On April 12, 2019, shortly before 6:00 p.m. Hamilton Police responded to Limeridge Mall at 999 Upper Wentworth Street Hamilton, for a report of a male taking photographs of females inside a store change room. Two witnesses alerted the female victim and store staff who confronted the suspect before he fled the Mall. An off duty police officer chased after the suspect, across the mall parking lot towards the Staples store at 970 Upper Wentworth Street. The suspect was caught by the off duty officer after a short foot chase and detainment until uniform officers arrived and placed him under arrest.

A 23-year-old Hamilton male has been charged with Voyeurism.

The male has been released on a Promise to Appear with a court date of Monday, May 13, 2019.
