Motorcyclist in Critical Condition after Colliding with Van

Motorcyclist in critical condition after colliding with a van yesterday afternoon.

On Tuesday, September 14, 2021, shortly after 2:20p.m., Hamilton Police along with emergency partners responded for a motor vehicle collision involving a Suzuki motorcycle and a Ford commercial van at the intersection of Main Street East & Province Street South in the city’s east end.

An 18-year-old Hamilton man was riding westbound on Main Street, when he collided with a southbound commercial van being driven by a 36-year-old male from Barrie, Ontario. The motorcyclist was transported to hospital in critical condition.

Due to the severity of these injuries, the Hamilton Police Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) was called out and has taken carriage of the investigation.

Investigators have yet to rule out any factor in this ongoing investigation.
