Motorcyclist Suffers Serious Injuries in Single Motor Vehicle Collision

26-year-old male from Hamilton was taken to hospital, after a motorcycle collision caused serious injury.

On Tuesday, June 1, 2021, shortly after 9:00 p.m., Hamilton Police and emergency service partners responded for a single motor vehicle collision involving a 2009 Suzuki motorcycle on Regional Road 20 in the City of Hamilton.

A 26-year-old male from Hamilton was riding westbound near Fifth Road East, when for reasons not known, he left the roadway hit a culvert and was thrown from the motorcycle. The male was transported to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Due to the severity of the injuries to the rider, the Hamilton Police Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) was called in and has taken carriage of the investigation.

Rider impairment has been ruled out, but all other factors are being investigated.
