One Arrested After Incident at Hamilton Secondary School

Nora Frances Henderson Secondary School announced a Hold and Secure in response to an active incident involving an edged weapon.  

On Thursday, November 3, 2022, shortly before 12:00 p.m., Hamilton Police responded to Nora Frances Henderson Secondary School, after reports of an individual outside of the school with an edged weapon.

Police responded to the school and arrested a 16-year-old male youth.

A 16-year-old female youth was taken to hospital with minor injuries sustained from the edged weapon.

The 16-year-old male youth has been charged with Assault with a Weapon.

Hamilton Police recognize the importance of school safety and how a threat of this nature can be difficult for students, staff and their families. Police take incidents like these extremely seriously.
